Michelle Sturm
Michelle Sturm graduated from the Horst Education Center (The Aveda Institute) in Minneapolis, Minnesota and completed the Advanced Training program.
Michelle began her internship with Aaron Nicholson of The Red Carpet Salons located in Minneapolis and St. Paul where she assisted him and began to build her clientele. In 1987, Regis Corporation came knocking, wanting her to open a store for them in Signal Hills Mall in West St. Paul, Minnesota. She remained there for a year before embarking on her first solo adventure.
In 1988, she opened a small salon in her grandparents' home. Grandma was happy to have her, as she was an essential element in her inspiration. Michelle is the third generation of hairdressers in the family.
Michelle continued to build her business for 4 years before moving on to other endeavors. She wanted to utilize her Estheology (skin care) license and the small salon could no longer accommodate her needs. Michelle did various independent contracting and modeling work for local photographers and John Casablanca's Modeling Agency. She also did some free lance work for Good company, Pluss models (miami) MTM (Mn.) and alot of consulting for local talent pageants.
In the summer of 1997 Michelle embarked on a grand adventure...The Salon for you! Spa & Salon. We are celebrating our 10th Anniversary this year! Cheers!
